Bonjour! Ahola! Guten Tag! Hello! How are you guys today? You are probably experiencing unfairness and your neighbors are probably, if not sometimes, mean to you. Well, my life is fantastic. I have the greatest life ever. Everyday I know i am going to be living to the fullest, along with my neighbors. I work on my farm that i adore as much as my wife and children, and the animals are so cute and cuddly. Everyone is paid the same amount so you know there is no competition. Having children all the time is great too, they barely cry... as long as you feed them. The educational programs that Niam provides are so superb.

This is why i am extending a hand for your guys to come and move to Niam to experience the same life that i have been for 20 years! Move on down within the week and claim your evenly place plot of land and live off perfection. Cant wait to see you guys!

Le Declaration De Niam

With the words that follow, a powerful society will be born. Our people of Niam, or Niamians, will fulfill our goals not only domestically, but intersocietally. The goals will be following shortly, but the people will unite as one even though we are divided by a river. The Niamians have several purposes:

- To create peace, even if we have to disrupt it to create it

- The spread of our culture so others can be like us

- Interpret other cultures into ours

- Expand economically, and politically

- Freedom of speech to the people of Niam

- Freedom of religion; we accept all kinds

- Everyone has the right to bare arms

- Everyone is created equal; wealth increases as work increases

These rules will be the foundation of the country of Niam; North and South; including any occupied territory that comes under control. The signatures below will enable this document to be set forth, and in doing so, creating the most powerful and influential society ever.

Daily Itinerary

The day in the life of a Niamian Citizen:



5:00am - Wake up early and to create breakfast for the rest of the family.

6:00am - Rest of family wakes up. Everyone sits at the kitchen table to eat and discuss about the dreams they had that night.

7:00am - Kids head off to school. Father goes out to the field and plows the farm. Mother cleans up the house.

8:00am - Mother finishes the house and goes to the field to help the Father. Both of them water and tend to the food.

9:00am - Mother goes to the barn and starts feeding the livestock. Father continues out in the farm.

10:00am - Continued from 9:00am

11:00am - Wife finishes taking out eggs and slaughtering the pigs for bacon and cows for beef. She brings the food inside the house and then heads off to the downtown district to pick up anymore food needed for lunch. Husband comes inside to get the lunch table set.

12:00pm - Kids who are 12+ come home to work on the field while father sets table. Mother returns with the food and begins to prepare lunch.

1:00pm - Mother, Father and 12+ kids come inside to eat lunch that is fresh from this morning.

2:00pm - The other kids return home and start their homework. 12+ year old kids begin their homework as well. Mother tends to the field. Father cleans up lunch and heads downtown for other job.

5:00pm - Mother brings in and food to start dinner. Kids finish their homework and then go outside to play for 1 hour.

6:00pm - Dinner is almost done. Father returns home and kids come inside to get dinner set up.

7:00pm - Family sits at the dinner table and eat and talk about the adventures they did that day.

8:00pm - Mother cleans up table and Father and children go to the living room to do a family activity. When mother is finished cleaning, she joins them.

9:00pm - Kids go to bed to get ready for the next day. Father and Mother go to bedroom to read the daily government handout.

10:00pm - Parents go to bed after reading.

11:00pm-5:00pm - Sleep.

Bill of 10 Rules

1) Be Kind to Thy Neighbor - This is the most important rule in all of Niam. It stresses the crucial need of everyone to be nice to one another, thus creating a harmonic society.



2) Do Not Steal from Thy Neighbor - Though this is a tedious rule because everyone has the exact same thing, it creates social order and prevents any exploits that may occur in the future.



3) No Adultery on Native Lands - In Niam, there is alot of sexual freedom. However, one cannot mingle with other people in the society of Niam, but they CAN go to some other cultural area and do it there.



4) Have Children - There is a limit and a max number of children that a family can have, and that number is 5. You cannot have any more or less children then this. This helps stimulate the economy and force the population to grow.



5) Working Age of 12 - Once you hit the age of 12 years old, you are sent into the working world. The next 6 years are hard because the child has to work and continue to go to school. They start work at this age so that when they eventually leave school and their family, they will know how to be independent.



6) One Patent - To contribute to the overall society, science is a huge part in betting life. So they force upon each member of society to at least once in their life to make sure that they build some sort of invention and patent it.



7) Breed National Animal - Ever since the Platypus has been declared the national animal, there has been a push in breeding them continuously to make sure that they never become extinct. The rule is, for ever 25 Niamians, then there needs to be 1 platypus.



8) No Religion - When Main/Niam was founded, the members declared that any religion is accepted, or better yet no religion. If there were religions, it would cause alot of families to be divided and the country wouldn't operate at its highest potential.



9) Report Unusual Activities - If a citizen finds that a fellow neighbor is hiding something from society and puts them a little ahead of everyone else, then you need to report it to the government and let them take care of it.



10) Follow the Government - Always listen to the leader at the present time. Never question their ability to make everyone equal. They think of the common good and should never pose as a threat to society.

National Animal and Seal

The National animal is the Platypus.



- The Platypus is the national animal because during the founding of the society, the group of 15 "Pre-Mainists" found a reservoir full of little peaceful platypuses that were all sleeping. They wanted to kill them for food but one of them, named Sally Marie, said no and prevented them from doing it. She wanted to prevent anyone from harming them so they built a fence roughly 10 miles in circumference around the area they found the platypuses, and on the border they started the founding of their Utopian society. Winter came, and the people were starving due to a bad cropping season so they didn't have enough storage for the winter. Well, all of a sudden, the platypuses crawled to their doorsteps with bundles of food. The town thrived once again with the help of the platypuses. Instantly they made them their favorite animals and used them to symbolize their entire culture because of their help in their own survival.

Seal

The seal is one that has been questioned for centuries. In a far distant land from Niam, this seal would mean evil and death. But in the Society of Niam, it means growth and prosperity. The hammer means constant production from the workforce, while the halfmoon symbolizes the eagerness to work not only in day, but also in night, even though it is not needed to work at night.

National Motto

“Money is Happiness, so Happiness is Money”

- The National motto has been adopted for many years now. Since the economy has skyrocketed from the end of the Lilith takeover, people have only focused on equality and the money they earn. The quality of life for everyone is exactly the same. Not one person is higher or lower. So constantly, the salary of everyone increases and everyone is happy. There was an instance, however, when some people made more money then they should have, so the government taxed them and took the money and spread it equally back to the citizens of Niam. Those few families made only $10 more, so the money distributed equally as $.00001 a person just to make sure it is equal.

Government

The government of Niam is a Monarchy. Many generations after the Lileth Revolution, a monarchy was created and the sons and daughters ruled all of Niam. Power has gained strength towards the King with every new monarch. So at King Nemo XI, he decided to create a centralized area of commerce, or a downtown. Giving more people jobs with a population of 30 million, a lot of people were happy. He demolished acres of farms to create a paved area. Smack dab in the middle of the downtown was the town hall that was created back when Nemo I was ruler. Some effort went into remodeling the capitol building to meet up with the time, so it stayed fairly reminiscent of the original. Once that was complete, skyscrapers and high rises were built all around. Factories and corporations were built to fully employ the people they need. Plants and power houses supplied electricity and energy to the people in need. It was growing dramatically. Right outside the city people still lived on their farms to supply the ever growing population.

Everyone was still equal. Everyone was still paid the same amount of money for the same amount of work time. Amongst the growing downtown, they constructed government buildings that the monarch gets to appoint to work for him. They have specialized people to collect his taxes, which everyone is charged the same amount unless one person accidentally made more money then they would be taxed more. The downtown was growing at an astonishing rate and becoming a metropolis. People lived in condos and townhouses now, but were charged the same living rate as those who continued to live on the farms.

The king Nemo XI implemented all these laws and nobles at the downtown area to provide law and order. Then, the biggest decision in history of government affairs occurred. Nemo XI gave up all his authority and told the citizens that he is now equal to all the other residents of Niam. He will still make the final decision, but the extra money and chateau's he no longer wants and donated them all to public organizations like libraries or museums. Everyone was happy as nothing else. The people praised him for the rest of his reign. His sons and daughters continued this legacy till the present time, which is still enacted to this day!

Origin of Name

The beginning of this newly found Utopian society was perfect for every inhabitant. People eagerly went to work in their perfectly symmetrical farms, with their 2 story, 4 windowed homes. For years the people lived like this with cropping food, and selling it to neighbors. Then, some rebellious teenagers started ruining people’s farms, but there was no one to do anything about it. So the society of 1000 people created a town hall to elect a ruler to set laws and protect them equally. So they decided to ask “Who wants to do it?” And instantly a man raised his hand and everyone turns to look and he says “Yes!” So, due to the strong French influence on the society, they named the country Main, translated into ‘hand’ for the main raising his to become the king.
So now Ruler Nemo, his name, dictated the society’s new direction. He forced production on all farms to increase, and everyone was getting paid equally. Hours of the day were 8 in the morning to 5 pm. Everyone was happy. Then, King Nemo bore a son, who was named Nemo II. During the last years of Nemo I, a dystopian society next door conquered them and burned everything down, and assassinated Nemo I. The country of Main then became the country of Lileth. Everyone was no longer farmers, but now warriors and fought for Emperor Chu of Lileth. Nemo II did not want to see his fathers perfect society to fall to pieces, so at the bleak of the night, he brought some Mainists to sneak into the castle of Chu and execute the “new” king. Through a successful attempt, they raided the castle and killed nobles and finally Chu.
Nemo II regained power and sent people back to their old farms, and now to the farms of the Kingdom of Lileth, since he is now the king of that land. The population grew from 5,000 to 50,000 in 10 years, and Nemo II was only 28 years old. The entire land is now under the kingdom of Main, but unfortunately, the name changed to Niam due to Nemo II’s dyslexic problem and wrote the name backwards on some official paperwork. No one wanted to correct the king, so it was adapted and now the country is Niam.
